Cassie’s It’s Summertime Let’s Have Smoked Salmon Cheesy Bread

Something gooey and delicious awaits you.

Servings: About two-ish people

Calories: It’s smoked salmon cheesy bread. Calories are figments.

Utensils

A cookie sheet/baking sheet

Creativity

A bread knife

A butter knife

Ingredients

One glorious, big loaf of French bread, sliced in half

Butter

Smoked salmon

Smoked gouda cheese

Salt

Pepper

Instructions

Preheat oven to 400 F.

Slice your French bread in half, play Looking Glass’s “Brandy You’re a Fine Girl” at the same time, or whatever summer jam suits you.

On that gloriousness, spread some butter (can also swap out for cream cheese if you feel that sing to your soul) across both sections, top with chunks of smoked salmon and cover with a beautiful layer of smoked gouda (or whatever cheese you have on hand).

Some assembly required for this bread, but at the end of the day, follow your heart.

Top with salt and pepper. She’s beautiful just the way she is, she doesn’t need anything more than this.

When the oven is ready, pop her in the oven for about 15 ish minutes. Keep an eye on her, you want her crispy and golden but not smoking.

Crack a window open while you’re baking this, always a good policy, depending on the sensitivity of your fire alarm.

When she is ready (should be glorious and gooey and the gouda should be melted and crisped up) pull her out, wait for 3 minutes and slice and serve.

The final product: smoky, cheesy, carby and one hundred percent delicious.

Pair with something fizzy and sparkling and fresh and a clear view of the summer blue sky.
